The entry period closes this Sunday, October 11, so hurry up and register if you want to try to make it as the world’s new eco darling. All you have to do to sign up for the competition is write a short description of why you want to be a green model, what makes you qualified, and donate 10 hours of your time to an environmental organization.

From Monday on, the rest of us will be able to vote online for our favourite candidate. The ten green girls who get the most votes will be invited to go to the finale in Los Angeles at the beginning of November, where they will work to convince seven judges that they have what it takes to become the new green girl. The new green girl will be a role model representing forward thinking, sustainable products and services and being able to encourage other people to transform their lives into a more sustainable way of living. The finalists then will be interviewed by the judges, participate in an eco-fashion test photo shoot, and attend a “green carpet” party.

If you’re picked as their number one green girl, not only can you do good deeds for the environment, but you’ll also receive a modelling agency contract, a 20-piece eco fashion wardrobe, and a professional photography session.
