Upcoming weekend it’s Mother’s day and that means Nostalgica Fantastica! It always reminds me of this fun walnut-shell-mouse I once created for my mom. Last week I received more than 20 e-mails from eco fashion/design initiatives that promote their Mother’s day products. So what to do this year?

Via threadbanger and Etsy I found some great ideas. Make your own soap and get ‘dirty’ in the kitchen, build a home-sweet-home birdhouse for the cosy tweeters in mom's garden or get nostalgic by designing some real seventies string art.

Since my mother is a real business lady who sells Prowin organic beauty and house cleaning products following the old-school ‘tupperware principle’, I can skip gifts like that. This year, I will turn 30 and as a grown up princess I like to make my mother feel like a beautiful queen! I surfed the Internet for some wicked high heals and some alluring lingerie. My favorites are these Beyond Skin shoes and this Eco Boudoir Lingerie set.

Personally I prefer an original activity including ingredients like nature, pleasure and good food. I found this perfect bike tour Girodimamma. This sportive event presents different art/flower/farm routes through the green agricultural landscape in the province of Zeeland (the south-west coast of The Netherlands). Girodimamma is one of the side events of the Girod’Italia, the world-famous long distance road bicycle race for professional cyclists. The event will paint the Netherlands pink by hosting the kick off of this event in the weekend of Mother’s day!
