If you are a fashion designer - anywhere in the world, you have great designs and you are considering the environment and the people behind your product, Ethical Fashion Forum wants to put you in the spotlight! This season The Fairtrade Foundation has teamed up with the Ethical Fashion Forum. For the first time the competition will run a Fairtrade cotton category sponsored by Tesco, which will be judged by fashion model Laura Bailey. The winning entrant will be invited to work with the F&F brand at Tesco. The Innovation Awards are open to all fashion designers internationally, who have been in business for up to 3 years, designing Womenswear or Women's accessories. Applicants need to be in a position to put into production a S/S 2011 collection. Winners will be chosen by an expert panel of judges to exhibit their S/S 2011 collections either at Pure in August 2010 or Estethica in September 2010. This year's special Fairtrade cotton award recognises designers/brands which are either already working with Fairtrade certified cotton or are looking to use Fairtrade cotton in their collections going forward. Applicants should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the principles behind Fairtrade and have a realistic plan in place to incorporate/increase the amount of Fairtrade cotton in their range. The winning entrant will be invited to work with the F&F brand at Tesco. Deadline for submission of application forms: Sunday 13th June 2010 at 17:00! Comments (1)
