Where
would the ecofasionista be without inspiring new brands? Where would
designers be without their customers? And how clear are the borders
nowadays between people buying eco fashion and people working in the
industry? To promote the dialogue between these different actors, we at
Eco Fashion World have developed strategic partnerships with several
other organizations. From today onwards you´ll find three new modules
on this website that can help you to share information and inspiration
with the ever-growing group of eco fashion pioneers.
First is the blog ´Stories from the field´ in which Sandra Castaneda
reports on her activities with Organic Exchange. This organization
provides support to fashion companies who want to clean up their supply
chain with a focus on the use of organic cotton. Sandra is a 34 year
old ethical fashion expert who will give you a closer look behind the
scenes of building such value chains. From her homebase Madrid, she
travels extensively thereby meeting stakeholders such as Indian farmers
up to CEO's of big brands.
A second organization active in supporting eco fashion labels, is
Ethical Fashion Forum, based in London. This grassroutes organization
founded by English pioneers such as Ciel and THTC, has grown into thé
industry body for entrepreneurs in this field. The EFF organizes
regular events to create a platform for exchange between smaller brands
in the UK. With their activities expanding to the European mainland,
their expertise and services rapidly increase. In the module ´Industry
News´, you´ll be immediately updated on their agenda and that of their
partners.
If you have any suggestions or questions about these new modules, don´t hesitate to send us an email!
