beyondgreen.jpg We know green is the new black but what’s beyond that? Around 1.000 fashion students, teaching staff and designers will discuss this at Beyond Green on November 12 in Amsterdam. The international symposium is organized by AM-FI - Amsterdam Fashion Institute, ArtEZ Institute of the Arts and the Stichting Modebewust foundation. A variety of guests, including trendforecaster Li Edelkoort and Eco-chic author Sandy Black, will be giving their personal perspectives on the theme.

The aim of the symposium is to provide information to stu-dents and teaching staff in higher education, and to stimulate them to develop a vision of their professional responsibilities which goes further than merely following 'green' fashion trends. This year's symposium starts where last year's event Beyond Green, Progress in Fashion and Sustainability ended: with the conclusion that sustainability in fashion and textiles must look towards innovations and developments in science and technology.
