With over 1,200 participants, the Copenhagen Fashion Summit is undoubtedly one of the world's largest events on sustainability in fashion. It is a nonprofit event organized by Danish Fashion Institute on behalf of Nordic Fashion Association. The Summit was first held in 2009 during the UN Climate Change Conference – COP15 – in Copenhagen, and again in spring 2012 and 2014.

On May 12, 2016, 9am - 6pm, the Fashion Summit will once again gather international key players from the fashion industry, as well as experts, NGOs, opinion makers, media and politicians, at the Copenhagen Concert Hall to discuss the evolution of a successful fashion industry in a world where new business models are required to tackle the growing sustainability challenges facing the planet and our societies.

The theme of Copenhagen Fashion Summit 2016 is ‘responsible innovation’. Major sustainability challenges face us all and it is thereby immensely important for the fashion industry to continuously develop and improve the way it functions.

To overcome these challenges, we need new solutions and new business models. With emphasis on responsible innovation, Copenhagen Fashion Summit aims to be a catalyst for change.

By gathering key players from the global fashion industry, who will share their knowledge and ideas on new and sustainable solutions, the hope is to inspire, motivate, and give tools to implement a sustainable mindset and create a brighter future for the fashion industry.
