ECO MEETS VINTAGE

Ethical fashionistas are already queens of mixing and matching second hand finds, swapped items and new eco brands. Some clever new stores have picked up on this trend by offering beautifully curated mixes of the two.

PORTLAND

This Friday August 7th, 2009, don’t miss the grand opening celebration of Second Nature, a collaborative Boutique/Gallery between Portland designers Emily Katz   and Heather Treadway. With photography by Sarah Meadows. This shop will be featuring new garments from upcoming collections as well as well curated vintage clothing for women. The opening is from 5-9pm, with music, tasty treats and bubbly.

ONLINE

Shrimpton Couture is our new online shop crush. The minimalist website lets the clothes do the talking and what clothes they are! Beautiful couture finds from brands like Oscar De La Renta or Courreges can be found next to edgy reworked vintage pieces by current designers such as Norwegian Wood, Laine, or Project Runaway alumni Louise Back.
