| FASHION FAIR SEASON |
| Written by Magaly Fuentes - Monday, 31 August 2009 | |
The fashion industry is evolving at the speed of light. More and more companies are converting to environmentally conscious methods of operation and ethical product lines while simultaneously demonstrating that “you can do well by doing good.” As a response to the many cutting edge, eco-chic collections in the market today, many fashion fair ring leaders are developing exclusive areas for earth-friendly collections, in a sense showcasing their efforts and accomplishments toward a sustainable future. From Las Vegas’ Magic “Ecollection” to “GreenShows Eco-Fashion Week” in New York to London Fashion Week’s “Estethica” to Germany’s “Premium” to North America’s very impressive and well-established Designers and Agents “d&a green market,” the fashion world is being tipped on its axis in honor of sustainable fashion. This week, until September 2nd, Las Vegas’ Magic Ecollection is taking place, a production focusing exclusively on eco-fashion. Last year they started with a group of 70 textile manufacturers and eco labels and this year they have developed into an impressive assemblage of over 90 like-minded contributors. Held at the Magic Marketplace within the Las Vegas Convention Center, the Ecollection show will take place from August 31 - September 2. The show will feature earth friendly labels such as Anvil Knitwear , Kate Organics, Pelli Cha, Green 3 , Indigenous and Ideo just to name a few. Note down in your agenda these upcoming fairs:
