The very first eco fashion store in Brazil just opened its doors! The store carries new Brazilian eco brand Eden and is located in São Paulo’s trendiest neighborhood, Vila Madalena.

The plush design interior is furnished with sleek furniture crafted from scrap-wood and clothes are displayed on bamboo hangers produced by Bamcrus, a company that runs sustainability projects with poor communities in the Amapa region of Brazil.

The Eden label is 100% organic, inspired by divine creation and the elements of nature. The whole collection is made of organic cotton, colored with natural dyes and completely chemical free. Eden is the label of Brazilian manufacturer YD Confecções, it wasEDEN_1.jpg developed with the help of Coexis , which belongs to Eber Lopes Ferreira, an expert in natural dyeing processes. Coexis gives technical support to companies that want to make the switch to organic. The Eden brand is certified by the association Instituto Biodinâmico and can be recognized thanks to the NOW (Natural Organic World) label.

Eco Fashion Fact

Non-toxic/Low-Impact

When a product is non-toxic, it has the least amount of toxic run-off into the environment: 5% compared to 50-60% in traditional dye methods for example. On this website, we often use the word non-toxic when talking about dyes, although it can also refer to other products.
