When it comes to sustainability, northern Europe never ceases to amaze us. This summer, don’t miss three fabulous events that blur the borders between art, green design and fashion in Holland, Denmark and Finland!

DENMARK

From May 7th to September 6th the “Fabric for Thought” exhibit will be held by Museet på Koldinghus in Copenhagen. In 2009 the city will host the UN's major climate-change conference. FINLAND

Opening today and running until September 27th, take a new look at textiles through the exhibition “It is Beautiful Here” held a Fiskars in Finland. Featuring the works of 43 artists, designers and artisans from all over the globe (including regular EFW contributor Abigail Doan) the exhibition aims at providing an experience of the material – a kaleidoscope of how a single material can open up to be many things.

HOLLAND

From June 6th to July 6th, don’t miss the Arnhem Mode Bienale, which for the first time this year, will focus on fair and eco fashion through the Awareness Fair Fashion Event on June 28th. Our Dutch blogger Annouk Post, takes us behind the scenes…
