4 – 5 September The Global Green is the place at the Electric Picnic to slow down, recharge and reflect on a better world. Nestled between Green Crafts and Body and Soul, this year the Global Green explores the themes of togetherness and community using the picnic theme ‘Together we are Electric’ as the inspiration. Re-dress has been asked to co-ordinate a sustainable fashion project in the global green area and have teamed up with art collective FOR THE LOVE OF (FTLO) to inspire festival goers with a live FASHION / ART design challenge. The live design project will run on the Saturday with illustrators/artists chosen by FTLO designing fabric themed around "together we are electric." Designers chosen by Re-dress will be asked to create pieces inspired by this theme and in collaboration with the illustrators/artists. It will finish with a styled shoot on Saturday evening.

10 September On Sept. 10, Ecouterre and Fashion’s Night Out (www.fashionsnightout.com) are coming to Brooklyn to join the Textile Arts Center in celebrating with a night of slow fashion. 6 – 7 p.m. “Hack Sustainable Fashion” workshop 7 – 8:30 p.m. Ecouterre eco-fashion panel and Q&A moderated by Jill Fehrenbacher, with panelists Greta Eagan (FashionMeGreen), Caroline Priebe (Uluru), Sarah Scaturro (Cooper-Hewitt Museum), Titania Inglis, Shabd Simon-Alexander, and Laura “London” Shirreff (Waste Not Want Not) 8:30 – 11 p.m. Shopping hours with local designers (reMade USA, Wiksten, Shabd, Titania Inglis, and M2 Jewelry), free DIY workshops, food, drinks, live DJ

12 – 14 September The GreenShows is the premiere fashion event exclusively committed to eco-friendly, ethically sound, fair-trade fashion during New York Fashion Week. The GreenShows produces a comprehensive canvas for full-length runway shows featuring an edited selection of designers. All invited designers are given the opportunity to show their entire collections to an audience of influential editors, buyers and fashion VIP's.

17 – 21 September Estethica is the British Fashion Council’s eco sustainable initiative. Now in its seventh season, it has evolved to become the epicentre for London's ethical fashion industry. 23 September The next NICE conference will take place in Copenhagen with speakers Sandy MacLennan (CLASS), Pernille Lind Olsen (Novozymes), Phil Patterson (Colour Connections) and Catarina Midby (H&M). The theme will be the future of sustainable fashion.
