Today, on the eve of National Clothes Swapping Week (18-22 September), Bigwardrobe.com will kick-off its roadshow of live clothes swapping events (or “Swishes”) around the UK called The BIG Swish™. The roadshow will lead a team of designers, stylists and models around the country over 12 months, in an effort to take the benefits of swishing to every corner of the country. These will be the biggest clothes swapping parties in the UK!

In addition, The Big Swish supports Cancer Research UK and invites you to bring books, DVD’s, CD’s, clothes or accessories you’d like to donate along with the items you'd like to swap. Everything left after the event will be sold in Cancer Research UK shops to help them beat cancer.

Swishing allows you to look great without spending a penny or harming the planet. In the UK alone, nearly 2m tons of clothing and shoes go to UK landfill sites every year. This represents nearly 4% of all the waste in Britain that is sent to landfill annually.

National Clothes Swapping Week is a bi-annual event (also organised by Bigwardrobe.com) which coincides with London Fashion Week in February and September. The aim is to show people that they don't have to spend a single penny to be 100% on-trend.
