TATTOO AND BAMBOO, A RECIPE FOR CELEBRITY!
- Thursday, 03 July 2008

CHOPPER-DARYL.jpg Chopper Couture recently launched its Fall 2008 collection: “Rock-on Eco Celebs!”, celebrating the famous women who make conscious choices in style! Tapping into the fashion for tattoo printed apparel (just type “Madonna Ed Hardy” into a Google Images search and you’ll see what we mean) Chopper Couture is taking things to the next level by using eco friendly bamboo and tencel fibers and producing all its garments ethically in Canada.CHOPPER-NATALIE.jpg

So why celebrities? With a laugh, Viggo from Chopper Couture sums it up like this: “If the mountain won't come to Muhammad, Muhammad will go to the mountain! Because of our fair-trade production costs and small marketing budget we don’t have the pull to get celebrities into our products, but we can pay tribute to them through our designs and maybe that is a way of getting their attention!” Some of our favorites are the Daryl (Hannah), the famous actress and longtime environmental activist has one of the coolest V-logs on the net www.dhlovelife.com. The Natalie (Portman) celebrates the beauty who’s been bringing stylish vegetarian shoes to the masses. Finally the Victoria (Everman) pays tribute to the less famous but no less enlightened eco model and writer.CHOPPER-VICTORIA.jpg
