What does an ecofashionista do in times of crisis? Eat as much dark organic chocolate as you can to boost anti-oxidants and reduce blood pressure? Put on your Nike trainers  and go running to release stress? Or turn to new hobbies that don't only help you save money but turn you into a trendsetter at the same time?

As the fall fashion weeks follow each other all over the globe, we will also bring you some alternative suggestions not just to become the ultimate Do It Yourself Fashionista, but to have fun at the same time! Inspired by the current exhibition in MOBPA in London, we have put together a range of ideas to keep you green and busy during these long winter months. The exhibition, Waste Not, Want Not shows all of the leaflets, posters and specially packaged goods that were part of every day wartime life. During WW2 rationing was necessary, food was scarce and creative thriftiness was the only way to survive. The show wasn't planned as a response to the recession, but it is surprisingly relevant in its advice and message. The manager of the museum says "The difference between now and then is that in the '40's there was a collective effort to save the country money to help the war effort, now we're trying to save individually, but collectively trying to reduce the carbon footprint for this country."

This series of news on DIY fashion will show you how you can turn crisis to creativity. Hopefully it will even inspire our sisters at Dating a Banker Anonymous www.dabagirls.com!
