The Eco Design Fair took place on the 26th, 27th and 28th of June in The Old Truman Brewery in Brick Lane, London. The fair featured clothes, jewelry, shoes, accessories and delicious organic food for the hungry visitors. We found some well-known brands like People Tree and were surprised by new brands like Amira and Bíbico.

AMIRA fell into fashion accidentally after a trip to India gave her a sudden flash of celestial inspiration. During her travels she made her own clothes and now nearly four years later her one-off and limited edition fair-trade dresses, tops, bed and beach wear – in printed end-of-run and surplus cottons still sourced by hand from India - are available from eco-boutiques in London, New York, and Milan.

The Spanish designer of Bíbico: Nieves Ruiz, who is known as "Snow" in the UK creates 100% fair-trade clothes with fun casual designs, great colors and organic fabrics! She is an ex-Zara designer and works together with communities in India and Nepal since 2007. She is also featured in this month's British Marie Claire, who describes her as an "exciting new ethical fashion label".
