VAN MARKOVIEC
The Swiss like Ethical Fashion: after last year’s big success, the second issue of the 'Green Fashion Switzerland Show' again attracted thousands of visitors at the 'NATUR' in Basel - Switzerland’s biggest green lifestyle fair. Green Fashion means trendy, stylish clothes made of organic fabrics, produced in a fair and sustainable way.
MILCH
Swiss and other ethical fashion labels presented a great variety of fashionable wear, in a surprising and fascinating show. Students from the Basel Design School showed colourful distinct garments. Small but exclusive labels like simo., Peter Müller and MAY captivated the public by elaborate handcraft – as well as Priscilla Baumgartner’s MILCH creations: the art of recycling men’s wear. The Sentis assortment presented traditional folk patterns from eastern Switzerland in a witty and modern way. Enchanting were the collections of the Dutch Label Van Markoviec and New Zealand’s Icebreaker underwear, made of pure Merino wool. Switcher and COOP Naturaline proved that everybody can afford trendy basics in ethical quality. No doubt that there will be a third “Green Fashion Switzerland” show next spring at the NATUR fair in Basel.
