Deep rich sailor hues are going to take some of the grey out of next winter (although you will be mixing the new navy with your existing grey wardrobe)! And just as us environmentalistas rediscover this classic shade, traditionally navy clad politicians are starting to take green fashion more seriously.

That is just what happened on the opening day of London Fashion Week. The tone was set by Defra (Department For Environment Food and Rural Affairs) Minister Lord Hunt who announced the launch of The Sustainable Clothing Action Plan. The plan has brought together over 300 organizations, from high street retailers, to designers and textile manufacturers to battle the environmental impacts of ‘throw away fashion’.
