Last month we highlighted some fabulous biker-chic inspired creations from designers and ethical retailers including John Patrick and Kelly B Tate. As a follow-up, we rounded up some eco-friendly and fair trade accessories that would polish off any biker-inspired look. These designers and importers are all featured on eBay’s eco positive marketplace, WorldofGood.com , but a quick glance at many of eco fashion’s most promising designers is likely to turn up plenty of biker-chic accessories as well.

EARS

Let’s start from the top down. Maybe you can’t quite swing this season’s motorcycle jacket – so get the look for less with a perfect pair of earrings. These rubber leaf earrings from Portland-based designer Julia Garretson (a member of Trillium Artisans) are made from recycled bike tires. No, they didn’t start out burning rubber on a Harley, but that shouldn’t stop you from embracing the spirit of bigger bikes as you take these for a spin.

NECK

In many places the New Year is optimum scarf season, and a piece that can double as your go-to black basic while also complimenting this year’s trends is key. This Peruvian piece would look great with any of the biker jackets that designers have given their green touch to this season.

LAPEL

Never pierced your ears? Accessorize with a brooch or pin instead. We can’t get over this one with its crisp, yet feminine, styling made by another Trillium Artisan, Taylor Stevenson. Taylor is one of our regular contributors and you might want to check out some of the other work she and her colleagues are doing in Portland.

WRISTS

No biker-chic look could be complete without some sort of wrist cuff. I found this one made in Thailand with Fair Trade principles. A cuff like this offers the toughness of leather with an earthy, and again feminine, twist.

Leather not your thing? Look for a glass or wood cuff instead. This piece is made by artisans in Indonesia, and is a great way to accessorize this season’s biker style while buying a cuff that will be equally versatile for trends to come.
