Canadian independent designer showcase Spend on Trend is back this year with more new exciting ethical fashion designer to discover. If you’re on the west coast, make sure to put the August 21st to 23rd event in your calendars and play fashion scout to Canada’s secret talents. Luckily for the rest of us, some of these great new green designers are available online or in stores throughout Canada and sometimes the US. First, since we’re talking about Trends here, we’re pretty sure you’ll find your must-have accessory for this fall at Nate Organics, the handmade hats have that perfect “hunting, fishing, nature” look that has already captured the runway at Prada and the camera of iconic street fashion photographer Garance Doré.

If you’re more inspired by Asian patterns, you’ll love the recycled sari dresses by Chai Designs , the feminine flowing dresses are designed in Victoria BC and ethically made in India and Thailand, bold and colorful! Two of Hearts is another local line which caters to city girls on-the-go with well cut separates made from organic and sustainable materials. Many of the other designers presented at the showcase also offer innovative clothing and accessories that are locally or ethically made, so this might just be the best place to start your fall shopping.
