While we may still enjoy hot summer dresses and tops for a few weeks, we all know that grey suit time is approaching again. With days getting shorter, nights for eco shopping on the net become longer. Make sure you get yourself wrapped in one of these sharply cut alternatives to the office suit.

The Guardian recently gave some suggestions to succeed in shopping for office clothes. Like the Amana classic jacket available at Fashion Conscience. Or the Camilla Norrback high waist pencil skirt made of organic cotton. And this brings us to highlight another Scandinavian designer because Noir’s sexy blazers can easily be worn in an office environment.

Another starting point for your ethical office wear search are the websites of certification organizations such as Made-By, Fair Wear Foundation and Organic Exchange. Here you can be surprised to find labels where you’ve always shopped for your work wear. Mexx has for example great jackets with matching pants and skirts that you could also mix and match with separates from Filippa K, H&M orworkwear2.jpg GAP to name a few. At Hess Natur we found an elegant knit dress and a great alpaca coat to wear over your suit when the cold really comes in. Art.23 is another brand that is worth browsing for its multi functional separates, while Deploy creates demi-couture to fit your shape. Your man will be sure to find his thing at Suit supply which is known for its great custom-made suits.

With ethical fashion design penetrating the market of office wear, is green really “the new green”?
