STELLA MCCARTNEY
We all know that winter sports increase your footprint the size of a snow boot. But we also know that it's lots of fun blazing the mountains, especially when you can do it in this fashionable eco gear! Our absolute favorites are the Stella McCartney for Adidas items. Eco designer McCartney has been teaming up with Adidas for some time creating ski wear to show off. Fashion and function combined in kaki, black and red pieces that look great both on and off piste! Less skinny styles for more snowboard moves can be found at the Swedish company Klattermusen. They have developed this great Einride jacket made out of SKAL certified organic cotton. And it's not just innovation in their jackets, their merino wool garments are also available in eco blue styles that are dyed with natural herbs. Other brands also offer jackets, base-layers and pants although they're not always specifically designed as snow gear. Patagonia's colorful merinos promise a soft touch on the skin and natural odor control while their polyester jackets adopt a cradle to cradle approach, being 100% recyclable.

Nettle plants are resistant to disease and vermin and therefore don’t require any contaminating pesticides and herbicides. Only the fibers in the stems are used for making cloth; the leaves...
