LALESSO

If you thought it was impossible to get ready and set in eco gear for splashing around this summer, think again! Be on trend with the bright colours of Lalesso, the brand who provide Kenyan khanga (also known as lesso, hence the brand’s name) material with their vibrant and fun tropical prints. With cutaway swimming bottoms, big bowed tie-back bikinis, and gorgeous frill details on carefully styled hot pants, they are sure to turn a few heads on any beach or at the poolside.

From Australian designer Jess Salter, Emobi brings more gallant yet sweet cut out pieces that ooze femininity with their floral detail. This collections use breathable UPF 50+ fabric .as well as water based inks that are not so harmful to our water systems and are available on eco retailer Fashion-conscience.com. Similarly, exclusive to Devidoll is a classic designed halter neck, fully lined swimming costume with a funky zigzag design created with organic cotton from designer Mociun, which is currently on special offer!

US designer Aaron Chang brings junk to life with swimwear, rashguards and boardshorts made from recycled polyester fabric (that are created from old soda pop bottles). Exotic eco bikinis made from sustainable soy, organic cotton and other natural fibres are provided by Niksters in the USA who offer a massive range of styles that are accessorised with shells, pearls, stones and other hand selected delights in what they describe as the ‘sexier side of green’. They also give 5% of their gross sales to charities including their ‘majestic friends’ the endangered sea turtles. If you’re not planning to get wet, then the Pants to Poverty Zakee boob tube is a pretty in pink delight with its little hearts detail, available from Adili
