So Jennifer Hudson is wearing an American Apparel dress on her new album cover and she looks fantastic! Not usually known for making ethical choices in her outfits, we praise the diva for this first step in the right direction. Her accessory choices, however, could also use a little organic magic…Here are some of our suggestions on how she could have glamed up her look with hot accessories that go the extra mile.

This look is all about the big belt and even those who might not normally be too keen on pre-loved clothes might want to change their mind about accessories. Jennifer could go surfing for some vintage treasures like this big butterfly number or a patent beauty quite similar to the one she actually chose (at a fraction of the price) on etsy.com. For something slightly different but equally stunning maybe this stretchy waist belt covered in white metal scales would strike her fancy. Or for a little less bling, why not opt for a recycled leather belt by Ashley Watson?

Then we have the jewelry…good call on the big bracelet, but may we suggest a version made from recycled materials such as this blingy stunner from eco jewelry designer Gwen Davis at Verde or maybe this coin charm bracelet. Alternatively, some big hoop earrings with a twist would also look great on Hudson, like these silver ones from chic fair trade shop Moonrise Jewelry .
