This holiday season give the gift of rock history while supporting charitable endeavors! Wear Your Music offers fans of artists like Carlos Santana, Avril Lavigne, Jason Mraz, Eric Clapton, Pete Townshend, and John Mayer a chance to take home a piece of rock and roll history while supporting charities such as the World Food Program USA, UNICEF, and others.

The New York-based group creates eco-friendly jewelry that rocks—literally, turning used guitar strings from artists spanning the musical spectrum into stylish bracelets, which are sold with a certificate of authenticity and stamped with the artist’s initials. “These are strings that these musicians have used and would normally throw away,” says co-president and designer Hannah Garrison, “It’s great that we can recycle them and also offer people a chance to wear rock n roll on their wrists.” The silver used on each bracelet is also 100% recycled, as is the DVD case each bracelet is packaged in.

One hundred percent of artist bracelet proceeds are donated to charities like Carlos Santana’s Milagro Foundation and the Grateful Dead-affiliated Rex Foundation.

The bangle-style bracelets, crafted from guitar strings donated by over 150 artists, include strings previously owned by Keith Richards, Peter Frampton, Jack Johnson, members of Slightly Stoopid, Widespread Panic, Metallica, Phish, The Allman Brothers Band, String Cheese Incident and Motley Crue’s Mick Mars and Nikki Six.

Wear Your Music also offers less expensive alternatives to the artist bracelets including the new ‘RockRecycled’ bracelets, hand-crafted from recycled guitar strings and silver. The unisex bangle style bracelet slips over the wrist, comes in small, medium and large, and is affordably priced at just $19.99. Other gift options are the hip stackable ‘Fashion’ bracelets, favorites of ICarly’s Jenette McCurdy and teen celebrity Nick Purcell. Priced at just $9.99, ‘Fashion’ bracelets are the perfect gift for your teens and come in a variety of fun colors. Necklaces, charms and other products complete the selection of inexpensive holiday choices.
