Tired of winter? Come to Rio de Janeiro and enjoy a sunny Christmas
on the beach! The handful of ethical labels in the city are pulling
their strengths together and organize various shopping experiences.
Like Adpac,
the carioca fashion brand founded by Adriana Pacheco. Famous for its
bags of recycled inner tubes, Adpac has presented collections during
Rio Fashion Week since 2006. Designer Adriana is constantly looking for
better ways of ecologically producing her items and for the summer 2009
collection she surprised us with a vintage inspired collection.
Original vintage clothes are turned into jeans and bikinis to create a
colorful fashion forward look. The collection is exclusively for sale
in EUAMO, the classic vintage store located in bohemian Santa Teresa.
If you want to hang out in the chic part of town, don't forget to visit ModaFusion's pop-up store
in Shopping Leblon. The French-Brazilian label kicks off 2009, the year
of France in Brazil, with a showcase of its hottest pieces in the
classiest mall in Rio de Janeiro. The expo is an introduction to
Ethical Fashion Show Rio which will take place in June 2009 and is part
of the official program of the France year in Brazil.
