Recently, I traveled to Private Islands of Georgia (that’s just off the Georgia Atlantic Coast,US) and stayed at Eagle Lodge, an eco resort on a private island owned by our gracious host, Captain Andy Hill, for a week of exploring, savoring the outdoors, gathering inspiration and living it up. Some of the activities included kayaking to Escape Island, hiking through the property surrounding Eagle Lodge, boating to and touring Mayhall Island, collecting treasures on Nanny Goat beach, dining on fresh, locally caught seafood, learning about the sustainable materials used in building the eco resort, and cruising the Georgia coast waters in glorious weather. Captain Andy Hill takes 'hands on' to another level as much of the resort and surrounding beautification has been constructed with upcycled items and he's happy to share details of his projects with every one of his guests.

A trip to a private island eco resort was a first for me and something I now highly recommend, especially when treated to the special kind of hospitality provided at Eagle Lodge. Happy Cow

There is an accompanying robe but you can leave that at home when you travel to Eagle Lodge as they provide a big, cozy robe for each of their guests.
