space_for_everyone.jpg'There are 180 people in my year and 95% is nerd. They're glued to their laptops and are programming with all kinds of numbers all day long. It's sooooo boring! And I'm a girl you know, I love fashion. I need to do something else then this Banking & Finance Masters'. Selina is ready to write her final thesis and sits across me in her trendy outfit and with a paper full of questions about researching eco fashion. 'I'm not sure yet what I want to do in half a year, but I don't want to work for a bank. This climate is so depressing and I want to be hopeful and do something more fun. Do you think they need me with this background?'

'When people hear I work in eco fashion, the first question is always if I am a designer. I dó make some of my own clothes, but I don't consider myself a designer. What I am remains a guess. A researcher? A writer? An entrepreneur? I guess I'm a little bit of all and I'm happy with it. We don't need only designers in this industry, we need people from all backgrounds to contribute their skills. Do you have any idea how difficult it is for eco fashion brands to get access to finance? Small entrepreneurs have difficulty to get seed funding for their start-ups. Bigger companies need private equity to grow. And the financial markets aren't ready yet to cater for sustainable ventures. We need green experts who create new financial constructions for these companies. We need 'number-people' with a heart who can advice us on how to create and maintain our businesses. We need you Selina!'
