Well, we can explain it all we want, but this one you have to experience for yourself. This website started in December 2006 by 3 former Yahoo engineers (who were apparently doing way to much online shopping on the job!) lets every girl live out her fashion editor fantasy.

How it works: once you’ve signed in you have access to an unlimited number of clothes and accessories that you can collage together into “sets” (like what we do in our mag’s Favorite Things) to create your own looks. You can also import items from your favorite online boutiques into Polyvore to create your unique look. You can then share your sets with the community or browse other people’s sets to get inspired or shop (all items are linked to their e-shop).

Why we love it: aside from the fact that a few great Eco brands are already on board such as Adili.com (check out the great sets created for their Earth Day Contest), Simple Shoes, Nvey Eco and more, we see this as an amazing opportunity for eco fashionistas, designers and retailers to show-off their fashion chops and demonstrate to those who aren’t already in the know that green truly is gorgeous!
