With the inauguration of the 44th President of the United States, the world took a heavy and much needed sigh of relief and for the first time in a long time, “politic” seems like it might be a positive word again.

The time has indeed come for change and North of the 49th parallel in Vancouver, Canada, this came in the form of Body Politic.

BODY-POLITIC.jpgAn inviting shop in Vancouver's SoMa (south main) district, body politic has introduced the philosophy of "sustainable design - limitless style." Designers from both Canada and the U.S. are carefully selected based not only on sustainable design and manufacturing processes but also with a fashion-forward style sensibility. Favorites include esteemed Canadian designers Elroy, Snoflake, and NaMoDa; and body politic is also the exclusive Canadian retailer of U.S designers Bahar Shahpar, Lara Miller , TEICH, Chemline, and Modaspia . There's no denying this makes it a destination store for everyone seeking something new and fresh.

And just in case you need some help visualizing how all these amazing designers can come together to create urban, feminine silhouettes, the team at body politic has had the enlightened idea of creating a stylish lookbook to inspire you.

With so many choices and their hands on approach, this is one form of party politics you'll be celebrating for a long time!
