Located on Manchester’s King Street in Britain’s northern quarter, Kuyichi, the Dutch fashion denim brand famed for its sustainable sartorial streetwear hopes to widen its appeal and convert shoppers to its environmental ethos.

The interior evokes Kuyichi’s ‘love the world’ philosophy featuring natural stones, clean design and tropical plants.

"We wanted a store that you will not find on every corner of the street," explains Kuyichi CEO Leo Cantagalli. "And we want to surprise, because we are different.”

Born out of a frustration with the denim industry concerning a lack of organic cotton use in production, Dutch non-government organization Solidaridad created the Kuyichi brand nine years ago.

Now at the forefront of the denim industry, Kuyichi has paved the way for the 'organic revolution'. The innovative fashion brand continues to explore and develop new sustainable production including recycled polyester, Tencel, spare denim, cultivated wood fibre, vegetable tanned leather and hemp. Kuyichi’s aims stretch beyond that to a great focus on the social circumstances of the people who grow their cotton and make their garments. Their production methods are completely transparent while tracked and scored by Made-by in an effort to push for improvement with the guidance of the Made-by organization.

Kuyichi's world battles to be: “Uncomplicated, but with good, sustainable products that range from our bags through to our accessories,” according to its CEO.

Vive la revolution!
