Human trafficking and slavery are common means of economic livelihood in the developing world. Those most vulnerable to such horrendous acts are often women and children. In situations where women and young girls are saved, they are often placed in shelters without any form of sustainable livelihood. As a result, they become vulnerable to a cycle of abuse involving poverty and slavery. There is very little post-crisis care and rehabilitation services offered to victims. Senhoa is working to change all of that.

London Borough of Hackney celebrates Sustainable Fashion during the Olympics |

Last Thursday, August 2 saw Hackney celebrating the rising Fashion community at its Olympic time expo venue, Hackney House. The event brought together various fashion businesses and organizations based in the borough and the majority of them included sustainable brands such as Lily Cole’s ‘The North Circular’ and ‘Here Today Here Tomorrow’.
