Ajna is the third eye, the seat of imagination and understanding.  Ajna is also the name of former Donna Karen design director and Calvin Klein designer Beryl Man’s eco-tribal-chic line of clothing.  Seeking to preserve and develop artisanal textiles from around the world, she transforms these materials into well-crafted clothing wearable in the most metropolitan locales.  Ajna’s well draped knitwear, layered separates, and bias cut silk minimalist dresses definitely recall a New York aesthetic, but the hand loomed textiles, tribal prints, and natural dyes add an organic evolution that embraces a global heritage.

Ajna is involved with Essence Studio, which is committed to the artisanal development of traditional textile productions around the globe.  Organic materials like cotton, linen, bamboo, lyocell, tencel, free range alpaca, and organic cashmere are utilized in the designs.
